Enel S.p.A., through its wholly owned subsidiary Enel Green Power Italia S.r.l., has completed the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Campo Eolico Ariano – CEA S.r.l., strengthening its renewable energy portfolio in Italy.
The acquisition was completed through an agreement with WEB Ariano S.r.l., a company owned by WEB Windenergie AG. Campo Eolico Ariano owns and operates an 84 MW wind farm located in the Campania region of southern Italy.
The wind facility has an average annual electricity generation of approximately 0.2 TWh. The transaction carries an enterprise value of approximately €145 million.
According to Enel, the acquisition is expected to contribute approximately €16 million annually to the Enel Group’s consolidated ordinary EBITDA.
The transaction aligns with Enel’s strategic plan to accelerate the expansion of its renewable energy generation capacity through the acquisition of operational renewable assets in Tier 1 markets. The company said the brownfield investment supports its broader objective of strengthening its clean energy portfolio while enhancing long-term operational performance.
