The Nordex Group has secured a 112 MW order in Germany from NeXtWind Management GmbH for the Altmark wind farm in Saxony-Anhalt, marking one of the region’s significant repowering projects.
Under the contract, Nordex will supply and install 16 N175/6.X wind turbines, each featuring a hub height of 179 metres. The scope of the order also includes a 20-year Premium Service agreement.
The wind farm is planned between the cities of Salzwedel and Stendal, with installation scheduled to begin in November 2027. Commissioning is expected in spring 2028.
Commenting on the order, Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central at Nordex Group, said the project represents a major milestone in its collaboration with NeXtWind and contributes to Germany’s ongoing energy transition.
Saxony-Anhalt continues to play a key role in the expansion of wind energy, with the Altmark region known for its strong wind resources. Large-scale projects such as this further strengthen the state’s position in advancing a fossil-free and secure power system.
