Bhopal Municipal Corporation Tenders for 15 MW Wind Power Project

The Bhopal Municipal Company (BMC) has a request for proposal (RfP) issued Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing, Commissioning of 15 MW Wind Power Project and Operate and Maintain the same for 25 years on Annuity Payment basis linked to Monthly Unit Generation.

Bid Submission End Date is 22-Jun-2022 upto 05:30 PM and the bids will be opened on the next day.

The BMC envisages setting up of wind power plant of capacity 15 MW to complement supply of power to its 2X10 MW solar PV plants under captive mode to supply power to its identified Pumping station’s HT connections as per the provisions of “Open Access” regulations.

The Developer has to identify coordinates as per WRA, procure land on behalf of BMC for setting up of wind power plant in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The eligible firms shall have average annual financial turnover during last three financial years ending 31st March 2021 of at least 75.00 Crores (Rupees seventy five Crore only) and Net worth of Rs. 30.00 Crores (Rupees Thirty Crores only) as on 31st March 2021.

The developer could also be responsible for buying and finding the land, establishing single grid connectivity and metering associations with the grid substation. The project’s ability will likely be used to inject the power into either a distribution company or Madhya Pradesh Energy Transmission Company (MPPTCL), a substation at a 33kV stage. Developers will likely be required to obtain permission from Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company (MPPTCL) for connectivity.

Bidders must have experience in creating and commissioning grid-connected wind energy initiatives with a cumulative capacity not less than 30 MW over the last seven years. They will also need to have created at least one 10 MW wind projects.

Total construction period is 18 months from date of LoA.
