Vestas Gets an Order to Establish 135 MW Wind Farm in Finland

Ilmatar Energy Oy has placed a 135 MW order for Vestas to support four projects in Finland. After a 221MW order for another Finnish windfarm in June last year, this is the next order from Ilmatar Energy.

The order covers the supply, installation, and commissioning of V162-6.2MW and V150-4.22 MW wind turbines. They will be delivered in different operating modes for each project. The order includes a 35-year Active Output Management 5000 service agreement (AOM 5000), for three EnVentus projects as well as a 30-year AOM 5000 contract for the fourth.

Juan Furones (Vestas Sales Vice President North & West), stated that “we are thrilled to build upon our partnership with Ilmatar Energy. underlying the shared vision of a sustainable future. After delivering several successful projects to Ilmatar Energy they have entrusted us with a major order. This includes long-term service agreements that will ensure the asset’s optimal performance. These four projects will bring 135 MW more clean energy to Finland’s energy mix. This will help the country achieve its ambitions for a better future.”

Delivery and installation of the four sites is expected to start in the second quarter 2023. Commissioning is scheduled for the third quarter 2023.
