Windergy India 2023, an eagerly anticipated trade fair and conference in the renewable energy sector, is scheduled to take place in Chennai from October 4th to October 6th, 2023, at the Chennai Trade Centre. This event follows the G20 Summit in New Delhi, where global leaders unequivocally expressed their commitment to using trade and investment as drivers of economic growth.

During the G20 Summit, a historic declaration was made, recognizing the vital role of startups and Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in fueling economic expansion. The G20 – 2023 agenda places a strong emphasis on securing a sustainable future, embracing green development, and leading the transition to green energy.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India’s call for ‘Vasudeva Kudumbakam,’ emphasizing ‘One Nation, One Life, and One Future,’ has resonated globally, with India and Saudi Arabia signing an MOU to link their National Power Grids through an undersea interlink.

India, already a global leader in wind power, continues to make remarkable progress in the renewable energy landscape. As of June 30, 2023, India’s installed wind power capacity exceeded 43,773 MW, ranking it fourth in the world. The wind energy sector has not only contributed to India’s renewable energy goals but has also provided various socio-economic benefits. Wind farms have created employment opportunities, especially in rural areas, and have contributed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing energy security, and providing access to clean electricity.
