NTPC Invites Bids for 1000 MW Wind Power Supply in India

NTPC Limited, a prominent government enterprise, has initiated an International Competitive Bidding process for the selection of wind power generators to supply 1000 MW of power from ISTS-connected wind power projects in India. This significant move, known as NTPC-Tranche-III, is conducted on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis.

The Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by NTPC invites eligible bidders to participate in this process, which follows a Single Stage Two Envelope structure consisting of a Technical Bid (Envelope-I) and a Financial Bid (Envelope-II).

Interested parties can access detailed terms and conditions in the Request for Selection (RfS) documents which are available for examination and downloading on the e-Tender Portal. The timeline for key activities in this bidding process is as follows:

Bidders can download the official copy of the bidding document from the ETS Portal starting from October 30, 2023, until November 13, 2023.

  1. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for November 14, 2023, which is also the last date for prospective bidders to submit their queries.
  2. The deadline for receipt of bids, which should include both the Technical and Financial Bids, is November 21, 2023, at 14:00:00 IST.
  3. The opening of the Technical Bids is set to occur on the same day at 14:30:00 IST.
  4. For participation in the bidding process, bidders must provide an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), calculated at the rate of INR 13.86 Lakh per MW.
