NHPC Invites Tenders Seeking Partners for Offshore Wind Power Projects in India

NHPC Ltd has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) inviting Indian and global companies to participate in the empanelment process for the development of Offshore Wind Power Projects in India. The initiative aligns with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) strategy for offshore wind energy projects, aiming to allocate 37 GW in Coastal Regions at Gujarat and Tamil Nadu under various models (Model A, B, and C) from 2023-2030.

Interested parties are required to submit their applications through the e-procurement system on the Central Public Procurement Portal by the Bid Submission End Date of February 17, 2024. The online documents of the EOI, are available for download. A non-refundable EOI Document Fee of Rs. 10,000 in the form of a crossed Demand Draft favoring ‘NHPC Limited’ is mandatory.

The validity period for EOI responses is 365 days from the last date of online application submission, and successful applicants will be empaneled for a period of five years. The EOI Application inviting authority is the General Manager (Civil Contracts-III) at NHPC’s Faridabad office. This move signifies NHPC’s commitment to exploring and establishing significant offshore wind power projects in India.
