Suzlon Secures 201.6 MW Repeat Order From Oyster Renewable In Madhya Pradesh

Suzlon Energy Limited has announced that it has secured a repeat order from Oyster Renewable Energy for a 201.6 MW wind energy project in Madhya Pradesh. This marks the second order from Oyster Renewable within nine months, increasing their total partnership capacity to 283.5 MW in the state. The project is part of Suzlon’s efforts to support India’s renewable energy transition and strengthen wind energy infrastructure.

Under the agreement, Suzlon will supply 64 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT), each having a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. The project is expected to contribute significantly to the expansion of renewable energy in Madhya Pradesh. Suzlon’s overall order book has now reached 5.7 GW, its highest ever, with 59% of its total capacity being driven by commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, stated that the repeat order from Oyster Renewable highlights the company’s expertise in delivering end-to-end renewable energy solutions. He emphasized Suzlon’s commitment to providing services beyond turbine supply, including land acquisition, project execution, and operations & maintenance, which help maximize power generation and extend the lifespan of wind turbines.

JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, highlighted that Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a key wind energy hub in India. He noted that this is Suzlon’s fifth repeat order of the year, reflecting the company’s focus on customer satisfaction and its consistent growth in the renewable energy sector. He reiterated Suzlon’s commitment to powering a sustainable future through innovative and reliable wind energy solutions.

Siddharth Bhatia, Managing Director of Oyster Renewable, expressed confidence in Suzlon’s capabilities and emphasized the importance of technology-driven renewable energy projects. He stated that the new project aligns with India’s target of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. Oyster Renewable aims to provide cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions to support the country’s clean energy goals.

This latest order further strengthens Suzlon’s market leadership in India’s wind energy sector and underscores the growing demand for wind power solutions.
