The Nordex Group has secured a new wind energy project in the United States with a total capacity of 325 MW. The order includes the supply of 55 N163/5.X wind turbines, further strengthening the company’s presence in the North American wind market.
The company did not disclose the name of the customer or the location of the project.
Commenting on the order, Manav Sharma, CEO of Nordex North America, said the company is proud to contribute to a strong, locally rooted U.S. energy sector by delivering products manufactured in the United States. He added that the turbines, produced at Nordex’s manufacturing facility in Iowa, combine proven technology with local production to support customers’ renewable energy projects.
The project will utilize the Nordex Group’s Delta4000 platform, designed to deliver high reliability and efficiency for large-scale wind installations. According to the company, the technology enables customers to maximize energy production across a wide range of site conditions in North America.
The latest order reinforces Nordex’s continued expansion in the U.S. renewable energy market as demand for utility-scale wind projects continues to grow.
