The Nordex Group has received orders from EFG Energy Farming Group to supply and install 12 wind turbines with a combined capacity of around 82 MW across two citizen wind projects in Lower Saxony, Germany.

The projects include the Erlte-Endel wind farm in Vechta and the Bad Essen wind farm cluster in Osnabrück. Both contracts also include 20-year Premium Service agreements covering the turbines.

For the Erlte-Endel project, Nordex will supply and install five N175/6.X turbines mounted on hybrid towers with a hub height of 179 metres. The Bad Essen cluster will feature seven turbines, comprising five N175/6.X turbines with 179-metre hub heights and two N163/6.X turbines with 164-metre hub heights.

The Bad Essen cluster consists of four wind projects: Langewiesen-Nord, Langewiesen-Süd, Rabber Wiesen and the Wimmerbruch repowering project.

Initial infrastructure work is scheduled to begin by the end of 2026, with turbine installation planned for 2027. The projects are expected to be commissioned in spring 2028.

The wind farms will be operated by landowners and regional citizen wind companies. EFG Energy Farming Group said the projects are designed to combine renewable energy development with local participation and regional value creation.

Nordex said the projects demonstrate the potential for combining modern, high-efficiency wind turbine technology with regional participation to support Germany’s energy transition.
