Qualitas Energy, a globally recognized investment and management platform specializing in renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure investment, announced the successful activation of the Gersweiler wind farm in collaboration with DunoAir Windpark Planung GmbH, a part of the Qualitas Energy Group. Positioned in the Saarland region of Germany, this wind farm has  two cutting-edge wind turbines, marking another significant stride in the company’s path toward a carbon-neutral economy.

The Gersweiler wind farm showcases an Enercon E-138 EP3 turbine with a 4.2 MW capacity and an Enercon E-160 EP5 turbine with 5.56 MW capacity. Together, they can generate a total clean energy output of 9.76 MW, effectively supplying electricity to approximately 7,400 households.

Aligned with Qualitas Energy’s commitment to environmental stewardship, the Gersweiler wind farm is projected to yield a remarkable annual reduction of 10,780 tons of CO2 emissions, playing a substantial role in the fight against climate change.

Environmental consciousness remains a primary focus for DunoAir Windpark Planung GmbH as an integral part of the Qualitas Energy Group. Throughout the course of project development, around 1.1 hectares of forested land have undergone permanent transformation. The company is unwavering in its dedication to executing significant offset measures such as  reforestation initiatives within the Krughütte and Gersweiler regions. This not only neutralizes the ecological impact but also contributes to elevating the overall quality of the affected landscape, thereby generating an ecological surplus.
