Vestas has announced a new 40 MW wind energy order in Germany as part of its second-quarter 2026 order intake. The contract has been awarded for the Reken Hülsterholt project, reinforcing the country’s ongoing investment in renewable energy infrastructure.
The order has been placed by EnergieGemeinschaft Hülsterholt GmbH & Co. KG and BBWind Projektberatungsgesellschaft mbH for the Reken Hülsterholt wind project located in Germany. The project will have a total installed capacity of 40 MW.
Under the agreement, Vestas will supply and install six wind turbines, comprising four V172-7.2 MW turbines and two V162-5.6 MW turbines. The company will also provide a 20-year Active Output Management (AOM) 5000 service agreement, aimed at optimizing turbine performance and ensuring long-term operational reliability.
According to the project timeline, turbine deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, while commissioning activities are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of the same year.
The order highlights continued momentum in Germany’s wind energy sector, where utility-scale projects play a key role in supporting national renewable energy targets and strengthening energy security.
