Vestas has announced a series of wind turbine orders totaling 309 MW across Europe and Japan as part of its second-quarter (Q2) order intake, reinforcing its presence in key global wind energy markets.
The orders cover projects in Poland, Romania, Latvia, Eastern Europe, and Japan, with all customers and project names remaining undisclosed. The contracts include the supply of Vestas’ latest wind turbine models, along with long-term service agreements designed to support project performance throughout their operational lifecycles.
In Poland, Vestas secured a 21 MW order comprising six V126-3.5 MW wind turbines. The project includes a 10-year AOM 5000 Service Agreement, with turbine deliveries scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027 and commissioning expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2027.
In Romania, the company received a 38 MW order for six V162-6.4 MW turbines. The contract includes a long-term service agreement, with both delivery and commissioning planned for 2027.
Vestas also won a 117 MW order in Latvia, supplying 18 V162-6.5 MW turbines under a 30-year AOM 5000 Service Agreement. Deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, while commissioning is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Elsewhere in Eastern Europe, the company secured a 95 MW order involving 21 V163-4.5 MW turbines. The project includes a long-term service agreement, with delivery and commissioning planned during 2027.
In the Asia-Pacific region, Vestas received a 38 MW order in Japan for nine V136-4.2 MW turbines. The contract includes a 20-year AOM 5000 Service Agreement, with deliveries planned for the second quarter of 2028 and commissioning expected in the first quarter of 2029.
The latest orders highlight continued demand for Vestas’ wind turbine technology across both mature and emerging wind energy markets, supported by long-term service agreements aimed at ensuring operational reliability and maximizing energy production over the lifetime of the projects.
